PRAY FOR CHINESE PEOPLE
in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, U.S., Canada, Australia, Europe, Asia, and everywhere in the world.
GIVE GOD A CHANCE
For hundreds of years, Christianity has tried to enter into the hearts of the Chinese people. We pray as we enter the new millenium, for the Light of Christ to enter into the homes of all Chinese and to give God a chance.
Ignatius Cardinal Kung, former Bishop of Shanghai and Apostolic Administrator of Souchou and Nanking, has consecrated his diocese to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. In his pastoral letter to his flock, he has requested the consecration of every family to our Blessed Mother and to say the Rosary. We wish to continue his mission. We want to place our people under the mantle of Our Blessed Mother. We want to pray to ask God to give us a chance and we pray too, that we will give God a chance!
SHARP DECLINE OF MORAL LIFE
In recent years, many Chinese face the eroding of their families. Divorce, extra-marital sex, pre-marital sex, etc. have penetrated into our societies. Many young Chinese, whether they are in U.S. or in Asia, have picked up the bad habits of the world. Pornography is readily seen in Chinese newspapers and magazines. Violence, greed for money and fight for power become everyday news. We need to come before God individually and as a people, to ask Him for forgiveness of our sins, and the sins of our forefathers. We need to implore God for His help to turn away from the evils of the world and to turn our lives to Him. Please join us in our prayers for our people. Thank you.
